Geranium Essential Oil
100% Geranium Essential Oil in 1/2 oz. amber glass bottle.
Origin: Bulgaria Flashpoint 147 Pelargonium graveolens
Aromatic Description: Floral, fresh, sweet, with a fruity note.
One of our favorite oils, this very high quality Geranium (Bourbon) has a high rose note which blends with just about any other essential oil; the 'green' note found in many other versions of geranium is almost non-existent. While there are over 600 variations on this plant, our choice is the 'parent' plant from which all the hybrids were derived. Perhaps this is why it is the loveliest version of a Rose Geranium that we have found. It is reputed to have beneficial properties that help aid in the healing of dermatitis, acne, eczema, aging and other skin conditions. Green in color.
Geranium Oil Uses: Acne, cellulites, dull skin, lice, menopause, oily skin
Aromatherapy practitioners believe rose geranium oil is very beneficial in skin care preparations because it is an astringent and is very balancing. The aroma has many emotional uses as well, as it is uplifting and inspiring. This oil is touted by aromatherapists as helpful in alleviating stress, depression and anxiety, and is best used in a diffuser, vaporizer, bath, massage or topical application.
Many essential oils are multipurpose oils, and rose geranium oil is no exception. This essential oil is also noted by aromatherapists as helpful in stimulating and regulating hormone production and is quite often prescribed by aroma therapy practitioners for PMS, Menopause, sterility and vaginal infections.
Geranium Oil possesses a low risk of skin sensitization and recommend a dermal maximum of 17.5%.
